Morteza Ghorbani Kari

Morteza Ghorbani Kari received his B.Eng. in Computer Engineering (Software) from IAU Lahijan Branch and is currently pursuing an M.Sc. in Artificial Intelligence at Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg. At SchliepLAB, he is working on OCR and table-mining methods for extracting structured data from patents and scientific documents as part of his master’s thesis, and contributes to curated data resources for antisense oligonucleotide research.

Previously, during his internship at SchliepLAB, he developed selection strategies to maximise diversity in sequencing of uni-cellular organisms using VLMC-based approaches under the supervision of Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Alexander Schliep.
