I'm a lecturer in the Department of Informatics and Applied Mathematics of Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte at Natal, Brazil. Currently, I am in a guest researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetic, Berlin, Germany. I worked also as a research at the Computational Intelligence Laboratory of University of São Paulo at São Carlos and as a visiting lecturer in the Centre of Informatics of Federal University of Pernambuco, Recife. I studied for a PhD in Electrical Engineering at Imperial College, London, UK.

Now: Full professor at the Laboratoire d'Informatique Fondamentale d'Orléans (LIFO) at the University of Orléans (France).
